“Hiyah!” A thrust of the spear, followed by a sweeping strike. A backward leap, then a defensive stance.

“I know you always train hard, Helios, but I still insist that you shouldn't do it while you're on guard duty at the Gates of Heaven.” Hands on her hips, the other angel girl is visibly irritated.

“No problem, Faos, as long as I don't let my guard down. Or can you honestly say I've been inattentive?” Helios replies cheerfully.

Faos huffs, knowing she can't argue with her sister and fellow guardian of the Gates. Despite her training, Helios is always aware of everything happening around them.

And sure enough...

“Looks like our sister Galene is flying toward us at quite a speed.” Helios straightens up, her spear at her side, her gaze fixed on the sky.

Crossing her arms, Faos looks up as well. “Indeed. And she seems to be in quite a hurry. I wonder what's happened.”

A short while later, Galene lands as gently as a soft wave. “Hello, sisters! Looking sharp, Helios. As for you, Faos, if you keep frowning like that, you'll end up with wrinkles sooner or later.”

Helios can't hold back a giggle. Apparently, Galene is in a good mood. “All right, all right, whatever you say.” The Angel of Light sighs. “What brings you here, sister?”

“I have a message from our big sister Seraphina. She's asking all our siblings to gather at the Celestial Palace to discuss something very important. All I know is that it concerns Lady Anastasia, but exactly how, I have no idea.”
