House Wolfheart's seat, Wolf's Lair, stands within an immense salt mountain.

The deposit is the family's defining source of wealth, compensating for surrounding lands with fewer advantages. Wolfwood and the city of Erlangen belong to the wider setting of its power.

The house's words are “Honor, Nobility, Courage.” Its history includes Sigvard, a royal knight of Tosava—distinct from the Danmir commander of the same name defeated during Nacht Lawrence's northern campaign.

Konrad Wolfheart is the current duke. His younger half-siblings, Perseus and Kristina, represent very different possibilities within the same family: the idealistic archer and the observant noblewoman.

An ancestral relic remains part of the house's inheritance, though its present role is largely ceremonial.

Salt gives the Wolfhearts an economic foundation. Maintaining the family's standing still demands administration, marriage alliances and choices about how its ideals should operate beyond a motto.
