EZO 30/50 | Nacht Lawrence: A Knight's Legacy
Nacht Lawrence was born in 888 of the Fifth Epoch, into northern nobility. His education in Arnor left him with a deep contempt for nobles who lived at others' expense.
He sought training under Roland and became a royal knight at twenty. During the Northern War of 913, his refusal to abandon his understanding of honor became central to his legend. His deeds against the Danmir commander Sigvard and the weapon Gungnir entered the history of that campaign.
By the Bloodcall War of 939–940, Nacht had reached Imperial mastery. His victory over Licht became another defining achievement.
In 940, he founded the knightly orders that would carry his ideals into Tosava's military life. Their later history cannot be understood without the authority of his name.
Nacht's legacy survived him, but admiration did not make his principles easy to follow. Protecting the weak, serving a ruler and refusing dishonorable conduct could lead a knight toward very different choices.
