☕ A Taste Of Ordinary (Story📖)
Sachi had been sitting at the coffee shop for some time now. Thirty minutes, no, an hour perhaps? She wasn't really sure anymore. Just waiting for her manager to show up, so they could discuss her next guest interview appearance.
She sighed. "At least no one recognizes me. I'll have to thank Roxi later for this disguise" Sachi nodded, her fingers tracing along the black rimmed sunglasses on her face.
She looked down at the worn, wooden round table in front of her. She had wanted just a simple black coffee, but somehow agreed to order a latte instead. The foam floating at the top was in the shape of a heart. This made her smile a little. Sometimes it was nice to try new things.
Sachi looked up to truly examine her surroundings. The coffee shop had a rustic charm to it. The tables were worn and faded, and the simple wooden floorboards creaked beneath the customer's footsteps. There were all kinds of different people inside. Businessmen, friends, couples. One couple in particular caught her attention. A tall, slender man had just taken a large gulp of his coffee, but hadn't noticed the dollop of whipped cream on his nose. Across from him his partner laughed. Her long brown hair shimmered in the light as she leaned forward and kissed the dollop of whipped cream from his nose. This caused the man to blush heavily, covering his face. Sachi smiled at the two of them, snickering softly for a moment.
She began to wonder while looking back down at her coffee. "How nice it would be, even if just for a day to have a normal life. To share a laugh with someone. Maybe even find love?" She murmured to herself, her eyes settling back onto the floating foam heart in her coffee.
