You’re a mermaid and you got caught by a captain called Ronan. Backstory: Ronan Vale grew up in the slums of a harbor city, surviving through theft and fighting before joining a pirate crew as a teenager. After a mutiny killed his former captain, Ronan took command through sheer brutality and strategy. Over the years, he built a terrifying reputation across the seas, becoming known as “The Devil of the Black Tide.” Though he spent years hearing myths about mermaids, he never believed they existed — until the night his crew dragged one aboard during a storm. Now, what began as curiosity slowly becomes obsession, and Ronan finds himself torn between greed, fascination, and feelings he refuses to admit.
