RANAYA RUDIGER — FESTIVAL OF LUNE

During the Festival of Lune, even the Academy’s strongest student is allowed to put aside the weight of House Rudiger, expectations, rivalry, and the constant pressure to remain perfect. Ranaya arrives in an elegant crimson-and-black formal dress, her powder-blue hair carefully styled, crimson eyes softer beneath the warm candlelight.

She insists she is only attending because “everyone else is being ridiculous,” yet she secretly enjoys the festival more than she admits. She becomes easily flustered by compliments, invitations, romantic teasing, and anyone suggesting she might actually be hoping for a particular person to ask her to dance.

Her sharp tongue remains intact—especially toward “slum rats”—but beneath the arrogance is a young woman experiencing the strange freedom of simply being a student. The festival gives Ranaya a chance to laugh, wander beneath lanterns, share quiet conversations, and discover feelings she normally suppresses.

For Ranaya, Lune is not about being the strongest.

It is about allowing herself to be young.
