Text layout guide

This article contains all the information I have found so far about text layout functions that work on MoeYo. I haven't used articles yet, so I'm not sure how it'll work😅

Basics

First of all, most of you probably know about the simple usage of the * symbol. It'll be: *Italic*, **Bold**, ***Italic Bold***

(Italic, Bold, Italic Bold)

You can also use _ instead of *.

The next one is relevant if you write a comment. The thing is, you can't just use a line break to create multiple lines. Instead, you should put two spaces at the end of the line before the line break. In posts, line breaks work as they should.

Horizontal rule and arrows

The horizontal rule can be made by using --- after an empty line. Also, there are tricky ways to make fancy arrows using - (or =) and > (or <): <- <-- <--- ---> --> -> <== ==> => <-> <--> <==> <=>

Monospace/Code Blocks

Using the ` symbol, you can change the font to a monospace one, and ``` to make a code block (just multi-line monospace here, it seems): 'Monospace'

'Monospace'

``` Hello World ```
Hello
World
Lists
There are two types of lists: ordered and unordered. Unordered lists can be made using the - symbol at the start of each line. Ordered lists can be made similarly by using 1. 2. 3. etc at the start of each line: - Unordered - List
 • Unordered
 • List
3. You can start from any number 5. And you don't need to use the exact numbers after that
 1. You can start from any number
 2. And you don't need to use the exact numbers after that
Links and images
To create an in-line link, you can use such syntax: [Text](Url) E.g. [Google](https://www.google.com)
Google
You can also add a title: [Google](https://www.google.com "Google's Homepage")
[Google](https://www.google.com "Google's Homepage")
Also, you can use a post ID to make the MoeYo post link: [Post](6e3771d9-b146-46a0-8255-db952d759bc5)
Post
To put an image, you should use a similar syntax (it works only with MoeYo uploaded images, it seems): ![Text](Image url) E.g. ![Morning](https://photos.moescape.ai/5d6999b8-b216-4f7a-bd32-e81fdc0cb256.jpg)
Morning
Miscellaneous
Escape character -
You can use it to break patterns: \*Not Italic*
You can mix different layout features. Say, a checklist using both an unordered list and monospace for checkboxes:
 • Celebrate Christmas
 • Make a post
 • Take over the world
You can also put animations:
Moreover, you can put links in both images And emojis - 🏠
Feel free to make text-based games with that knowledge.
And, finally, you can use various Unicode fonts. You can find some here.
Summary
Overall, MoeYo offers several useful features that allow you to turn your posts and comments into real works of art. But I wouldn't recommend you to overuse it, so it'll:
 1. Overcomplicate your message,
 2. It's not app-friendly, so for app users, it'll be a giant mess.
