I know you said South America but I wanted to keep it closer to home for you and stick with Brazil in the hope I could do something that resonators personally with you. I didn't want to go for the typical carnival or football though.

I decided to go with the Festa Junina which (correct me if I'm wrong) is held throughout June and is a celebration of Brazil’s rural culture, harvest traditions, community and folklore.

People dress in playful countryside-inspired clothing, dance the traditional quadrilha in groups, and enjoy live music and games.
