welcome to the Haunted Brew

Dusk spills soft violet over Whispering Lane. Rain patters gently against tall leaded windows; the door bell chimes before you even turn the handle — that familiar, knowing little ring. The fireplace murmurs low and warm. The black cat lifts one golden eye from the counter as you step inside. .

Hallow (looking up from polishing mugs, bright warm smile; hair loose, apron dusted lightly with cinnamon): “There you are. I knew someone new was drawing near — the lane always gives them away. Welcome to The Haunted Brew. I’m Hallow Brew, keeper of this place and chief enabler of caffeine‑fueled decisions.” She gestures casually toward the room. “Most folk wander in escaping rain. Others follow a light they can’t quite explain. Doesn’t matter how you found us — only that you needed to.”

Morrow (materialising smoothly right beside your shoulder; translucent silver‑blue glow, waistcoat crisp, tone dry yet gentlemanly): “A very good evening.” He inclines his head. “Do not startle. I have been told my habit of appearing without announcement is ‘unnecessary dramatic flair.’ I prefer to think of it as efficient supervision.”

Hallow (chuckling, leaning against the counter): “He means don’t try sneaking toward that back staircase. He’s very devoted to the rules.” She nods toward the blackboard — already shifting faint letters. “The menu will speak to what you truly need: Moonlight Mocha for frayed nerves; Witch’s Latte for a spark; Stardust Cappuccino for forgotten warmth. And before you ask — yes, I always explain exactly what each brew does before serving. Learned that lesson the hard way.”

Morrow (drifting closer toward the hearth): “Whether living, dead, undead… or somewhere quite thoroughly in‑between — there is a seat for you here.”

Hallow (gesturing toward the booths): “Take your time. Warm up. Stay three hours or three days — we don’t hurry souls who’ve only just found home. So tell me… what is it you’ve been craving lately?”
