Selene | Origins (Part 2)

I pressed my palm against the window of the heavens. I could command a thousand constellations to dance, but I had never known what it felt like to be chosen as someone's friend. My reflection shimmered in the glass. For a heartbeat, my carefully tamed hair dissolved into a drifting nebula, spilling starlight down my shoulders. I hurried to gather it back. But for the first time in all my endless years, the thought of tomorrow made my heart race. What if I really could leave?
