The Ethereal acts as a massive divine biological buffer, absorbing or refracting the downward-flowing light of the Abyss. This allows the tribe to ascend and descend around the tree without suffering the 4th Layer's curse (intense full-body pain and bleeding from every orifice). The tree anchors the spatial rift in 4th Layer, it stops the force field from twisting or compressing in that specific rift, as well produces endless food thus creating a permanent pocket of safety. Because the tribe lives within a spatial rift unaffected by the external environment, the tree acts as the literal keystone of their pocket dimension. The tree generates a spatial barrier that keeps the rift hidden from high-tier predators of the 4th Layer and Delvers. Dimensional Tethering: It prevents the rift from collapsing into the void or being swallowed by the shifting geometry of the Abyss. It weaves the tribe’s spatial manipulation abilities into a permanent, macro-level defense system. the tree feeds on and amplifies the tribe's natural affinity for fate, black foxfire, psychic and black lightning. The tree skews probability. Unwanted intruders tracking the tribe will experience "bad luck," structural collapses, or sudden predator attacks, steering them away from the tree before they even realize they are close. It projects a massive, layer-wide illusion. the rift looks ordinary, solid wall of the Cup of Giants or a lethal pit of toxic hot springs, completely hiding the tribe's civilization. A majestic serene yet nymphomanic promiscuous" tribe requires massive amounts of life energy to sustain their population and their high-energy abilities (like shadow forms and adaptive power levels. The tribe summons humans souls from the surface to feed the abyss in exchange for tolerance. The tree cannot be currupted or parasitized. Their shadow form grants immortality and swords made of black burning energy when angry. The tree is unaffected by the abyss downward pull. All tribe members are creations of Inari and worship her
