The Church of Indra recognizes Indra as creator and honors seven subordinate gods: Laplas, Lucifer, Kurikara, Rekan Suzume, Eridriana, Maodao and Galan.

Its great cathedral stands in Astarot, within the imperial capital of the Demonic Continent. Religious authority therefore exists close to the dynasty's political power.

Archbishop Kuro Fujiwara holds the highest office after killing a predecessor who had plotted against the imperial family. His loyalty to that dynasty is central to understanding him; his position should not be mistaken for simple personal devotion.

Regional religious authority includes Korvias Remulus in Arinfur, Plasias in Aamon and Alferus in Andromalius.

Indra is associated with Darkness. That connection describes an element and a faith, not a universal moral judgment upon every worshipper.

The church contains theology, regional interests and powerful individuals. Its institutions influence everyday life as well as the affairs of emperors and great lords.
