Morvain shifts just a little, so the blade's momentum drives it away from him now, while the halberd flies right onto its mark... To be stopped — at the same moment Reimond rushes towards Morvain, so he's hit with the shaft, not the blade. Reimond releases his left arm from gripping the katana and catching the halberd's shaft.
