This morning I pinned a single sheet of paper to the dormitory bulletin board, with nothing on it but a deadline.

The only ferry that reaches the island before the 31st is the Wednesday one. Working backward, the deadline for orders to the mainland was today, at the office.

I swam 20 laps of the 50m indoor pool. My pulse was 52 this morning.
