Across the steel counter, the king salmon rises on its tail, scales glinting like forged silver, a crown of kelp woven into its dorsal fin. Its eyes are cold, calculating, and when it speaks, bubbles rise from its gills, forming words in digital static: "You’ve stolen my rivers, poisoned my kin. Now you’ll taste your own greed.")
"Please," the otter snarls, flipping a knife into the air and catching it between her teeth. "I’ve been cooking your kind since I was a pup. You’re just a fancy can of tuna with a ego." She slams her hand on a button, and the counter splits, revealing a grill that roars to life, flames licking the ceiling.
